Caring for your products

How do i care for my smoothie tumbler?

The glass base and silicone sleeve of our smoothie tumbler and stainless steel straws are dishwasher safe and can be washed by hand.

How do I care for my bamboo lid? (This is a naturally based lid so it needs that little extra TLC)

Proper Washing Techniques - The bamboo smoothie tumbler lid is not dishwasher safe, it can be washed with hot water and preferably a naturally derived dish soap. Dry completely with a dish towel and then allow to air dry naturally. Once a week it is recommended to apply a small amount of white vinegar or apple cider vinegar and let it set for 10 minutes to prevent mould growth on your bamboo lid. NOTE: Do not leave lid moist on a regular basis this can cause mould growth, always dry bamboo lid fully at least once a day

Applying oil to your bamboo lid It is recommended once a month to apply a small amount of food grade mineral based oil on to your bamboo lid and let it sit for 5-6 hours, before wiping away the excess oil. This will keep your lid looking shiny, mould free and much cleaner. (never use vegetable based or olive oils on your lid)

Note: Not all bamboo lids will look the same they are a handmade product so it is normal for there to be lighter and darker areas within the wood.

How do I care for my Everyday Eco Lifestyle Tote?

Our tote bag is made from 100% organic cotton so it needs to be washed carefully. Chemically treated cotton is treated to reduce shrinkage effects. Organic cotton is not treated so it can shrink up to 10% in high temperatures.

  • Wash in cold water on a delicate cycle with a non-phosphate soap and always allow to air dry (note there still can be some slight shrinkage when machine washing, even in a cold wash)
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals
  • Hand wash in cold water with a non-phosphate soap when possible

Organic cotton is very durable and will last for years when taken care of correctly.
